BarCamp Photos

BarCamp London 2 was amazing. Met loads of interesting and fantastic people. Marvelled at the incredibly techy venue (One meeting room had a smart glass sound proof wall with a pure SF, switch operated sliding door :) ).

Played werewolf, which is one of the simplest and most compelling games I’ve ever played. A perfect mix of observation, body language, arguments, mystery, making stupid noises, and singing showtunes. The contant politicking is well balanced by the bouts of zombie noises and mooing :)

Got a total of twelve hours sleep in three four hour chunks in the 90 hour period leading up to and including barcamp. Had the strangest awakening ever after crashing in the cafeteria when we were done with Werewolf: Waking up to the noise of a crowd at 09:30, bolting upright to find about 100 people eating breakfast around me.

Presented the theory of emotion I promised here so many months ago. Got very good feedback on it. Found out in the past year that I wasn’t the first to devise the theory, and it is in fact recurrent but troubled. Prepping and giving this talk, I found my USP in the connection I’ve made between dimensional models of emotion and the work of John Bowlby. Much more on that later, the powerpoint and outline will both go up here.

For now you can see BarCamp in my Flickr stream and all photo’s tagged with barcamplondon2.

It was an incredible event.
